Marilyn Anderson is a photographer and artist, as well as the U.S. Project Director for Pro Arte Maya, which promotes the appreciation and practice by Mayan and other Guatemalan children of their rich and varied art and traditions. She sells these products to help promote this education effort and also uses them as teaching material. The 30-page bilingual coloring book (English/Spanish) presents traditional artists in pictures and words.
Two teacher's and parent's guides have been designed for use with the children’s Coloring Book Maya Arts and Crafts of Guatemala/Artes y Artesanías Mayas de Guatemala, Kids and Fair Trade and Learning from the Maya About Diversity, Culture, and Ecology.
